Artichokes are a California delicacy. Beautiful and alluring, even today many people outside of the Golden State will look at an Artichoke and ask “How do I eat this?” They are easy to prepare: Cover bottom of pan with water, bring to a full boil. Trim stems and outer leaves of Artichokes. Tuck butter and garlic into the leaves. Set Artichokes in a steamer, stem-side down. Cover pot with lid, allow then to steam for approximately 20 minutes, until tender. Delicious!
