Kumato Tomatoes

What’s a Kumato tomato you ask? The first thing you notice about a Kumato tomato is its unique coloring. The Kumato coloring varies but typically starts off a deep-green color with brown and red accents. As it ripens, the Kumato tomato transforms to a beautiful deep brown color with red and green highlights. Kumato tomatoes are known for their extra juicy and slightly tangy flavor, which is why they are a favorite for anyone who dares to try them. Once you try one, you’ll keep coming back for more. The high brix level (fructose) gives these tomatoes that wonderful hue and sweet-tangy flavor.

Storage: Kumato tomatoes can be stored for up to two weeks non-refrigerated. Never refrigerate a Kumato tomato as the cold will reduce their fructose and ultimately their flavor intensity.
